github shergin/malevich v1.25.0
1.25.0 (Supremus No. 58)

The grammar reaches Python. supremus, the Python rim, carries the eight
marks, every preset the crate documents, and the goldens this crate checks
itself against into notebooks, Rich, Textual, and pandas. Inside the crate,
Mark stopped spelling out its variants: one trait says what every mark
answers for itself, and the enum forwards to whichever it holds.

  • The Python rim (python/, PyPI supremus) is public. 0.1 covers the
eight-mark grammar, every preset the crate documents, shared goldens
against this crate, Mapping/Viewport as Python values, the HTML card
for Jupyter and marimo, a Rich renderable, a Textual widget, a pandas
plotting backend, and uvx supremus. See
    python/CHANGELOG.md and
python/README.md. The request decoding the wasm and
Python bindings share — a document with { "col": N } columns, presets by
    name, packed rasters — moved into an unpublished workspace crate, rim/;
the published crate is unchanged, and python/ and rim/ are excluded
    from the package like js/.
  • Mark forwards its per-mark contract — validate and into_owned — to
whichever mark it holds through the whichever proc macro, which also
writes the From<mark> impls. A ninth mark can no longer miss an arm. The
public API is unchanged. New dependency: whichever, a proc macro.
