WWE All Stars Recomp 1.6.0
You need your own copy of the game: a disc image of WWE All Stars (Xbox 360,
USA/Europe) and its Title Update 2, both dumped from your own console. This download
contains no game files, no update and no DLC.
What's new
- A sharp picture at your monitor's resolution. Render resolution now goes up to
2880p, and the picture is always fitted to your window: when the game draws more pixels
than the window has, it filters them down to the window's size, which smooths jagged
edges (supersampling at your display's own resolution). When it draws fewer, it is scaled
up and sharpened as before. Before, Supersampling filtered everything down to 720p, so a
1440p or 4K screen showed a soft 720p picture, and a higher Render resolution switched the
anti-aliasing off. Resizing the window takes effect on the next frame. - One setting instead of two. The separate Supersampling setting is gone; Render
resolution (720p, 1440p, 2160p, 2880p) does both jobs. Your choice carries over:
Supersampling On becomes 1440p, a Render resolution you had chosen stays, and
Supersampling Off stays at 720p. - High is sharper at the same cost. The default High preset now draws at 1440p and
filters to your window: the same GPU work as the old supersampling, with a sharper
picture on screens above 720p. Low and Medium (720p) are unchanged. - A new Ultra preset: 2160p, 16x texture filtering and Sharpening Low. It is never
picked for you; choose it under GRAPHICS if your GPU has room. - Textures sharpen with the resolution. Floors, ropes and attire keep their detail at
1440p and above, and shimmer less at 720p. - The PC SETTINGS page (F4) has room for every row. The GRAPHICS tab's eight settings
were squeezed into a space made for five; the page is now taller and wider. - ReShade: the FAQ now says what works and what doesn't. Use it at your own risk.
Render resolution is stable. On our RX 7900 XT a match costs about 1.4 ms of GPU time at
1440p, 2.6 ms at 2160p and 4.4 ms at 2880p.
Update
Extract the zip over your existing folder, or let the launcher's update check take you
to this page. Your settings, saves, mods and game files stay where they are.
Known limits
- 2880p is heavy: pick it only with GPU time to spare, and step down if frames stutter,
especially with 120 fps matches on. - Online play pairs only players on the same release: update together with your
friends. - Mods are experimental. The format may still change.
- Ranked Match doesn't work yet; Player Match does.
- The in-game store button does nothing; add DLC from the launcher.
- Tested on Windows 11 with an RX 7900 XT, and on a Steam Deck (SteamOS through Proton).
