Breaking Changes

Custom rules and rule enablement settings are not migrated

Custom rules and rule enablement settings from alpha.1 are not migrated. Recreate them in the appropriate routing preset after upgrading.

Your previous files are retained, and your existing routing choice maps to the equivalent preset.

Subscription date fields have changed

Expiration and traffic reset dates now use x_shadowsocksx_ng.expires_at and x_shadowsocksx_ng.traffic_reset_at, with schema_version: 1. The previous top-level fields are no longer read.

New Features

Independent routing presets

Rule mode now offers three presets:

• Proxy GFWList Targets Only — the default for new installations.
• Direct for Mainland China
• Proxy Mainland China Targets

Each preset keeps its own custom rules and rule enablement settings. Manage and test presets independently on the Rules page, then choose the active preset in the proxy controls.

Automatic subscription updates

Keep subscriptions updated on a daily or weekly schedule, or turn automatic updates off, subject to your provider’s policy.

Updates run while the app is running, even with its windows closed. Overdue updates are checked at launch and after your Mac wakes.

Interface and Diagnostics

• Open Diagnostics directly from the menu bar.
• Inspect logs in a selectable table, view entry details, and copy selected entries.
• See runtime status indicators on the Home page.
• Reduced flicker caused by brief status changes.
• Improved diagnostic log formatting and severity detection.

Fixes and Updates

• Improved launch and window activation behavior.
• Allowed more time for the local proxy to start before reporting a startup failure.
• Updated the bundled v2ray-plugin to 1.5.0 and disabled its access logs by default.
