PasteGuard 0.9.6 fixes masking failures in the browser extension and adds checksum-validated detection of Chinese Resident ID numbers.
Fixes
- Preserve leading and trailing whitespace in
POST /api/mask. Prompts ending in a newline no longer fail the browser extension's response-alignment check. Empty and whitespace-only input remains invalid. Fixes #185 via #186. - Detect Chinese Resident ID numbers as
CN_RESIDENT_ID, including IDs adjacent to Chinese text and valid IDs that also pass the credit-card checksum. Fixes #184 via #187.
Upgrade note
If your configuration defines pii_detection.entities explicitly, add CN_RESIDENT_ID to that list to enable Chinese Resident ID detection. Configurations that use the default entity list enable it automatically.
Upgrade the all-in-one image to ghcr.io/sgasser/pasteguard:0.9.6 (or pull the updated latest image once its release build completes).
