Scala v7.9.0 is a preliminary release that comes prior to the upcoming V8 fork. This release was made to address the confusions that arose from having multiple repo's and fragmented codebases.
This release in particular includes:
- Diardi V2 code for staging and test networks
- Updated seed node list
- Updated checkpoint mechanism using the IPFS network
- A lot of bug fixes
An update from v4.1.0 is technically not necessary, but is very highly recommended.
