Release v2.19.0
PennyWise 2.19.0 brings scheduled recurring transactions, a redesigned navigation bar with Transactions always one tap away, and inline expense tagging straight from notifications — plus two new bank parsers, a full security hardening pass, and a wave of parser and data-accuracy fixes.
What's New
- Recurring transactions — schedule any manual or cash transaction to repeat automatically on your chosen cadence
- Transactions is now a permanent bottom-nav tab, so your full history is always one tap away
- Tag expenses inline from the notification quick-picker without opening the app
- Added Pluxee India meal-card parser — Pluxee SMS messages are now parsed automatically
- Added Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) parser — BSF transactions are now parsed automatically
- Option to count credit-card spend as an expense on the home screen overview
- Manual entry now suggests the category you previously used for a merchant
- Security: four high-severity audit findings fixed; on-device chat model is now pinned to a versioned URL and verified against a SHA-256 checksum before loading
- HDFC Credit Card: transaction reversals are now correctly detected and recorded
- Al Rajhi Saudi: parser hardened to handle additional Saudi transaction message formats
- Scapia Federal: 'earned you rewards' transaction variant is now parsed correctly
- Mobile-money wallets no longer create a new account for every transaction
- Home screen credit-card tile now shows amount spent, not the remaining limit
- Foreign amounts that can't be converted are skipped rather than added at face value, preventing inflated totals
- Editing a transaction no longer silently drops its linked loan
- Merchant aliases are now included when searching transactions
- Loans panel shows only the loan contribution amount, not the full transaction amount
- Suggested self-transfer correctly appears for manual rows that have no linked account
- Delete and undo now work reliably for all transaction types
