What's new
- The update checker remembers what it found (PC). It never saved its state, so it asked GitHub on every launch and Skip this version was forgotten. It now keeps
update_check.jsonin the player data folder. Found thanks to the log in issue #24. Tested on PC (RX 7800 XT). - Android: no changes besides the version number.
Not tested yet
- Frame counter (Display → Frame counter, new in 0.3.10), on PC and Android.
- 0.3.10's two Android changes (draw source default and finger scrolling): no reports from a phone yet.
Known issues
- Smearing on some AMD cards (issue #26): on an RX 7900 XT and an RX 9070 XT the native renderer leaves smears and dark patches that follow the characters, with or without an upscaler. It does not happen on the RX 7800 XT we test on. Graphics → Renderer → Emulated (EDRAM) avoids it. A
gow2.logfrom a run where it happens helps a lot. - Vulkan on Radeon Vega (issue #34): after quitting to the main menu, the menu text can turn invisible. Not reproduced on an RX 7800 XT yet.
- SteamOS / Proton: one Direct3D 12 crash while firing was reported. If it happens to you, please attach
gow2.logandgow2_crash.logfrom the game folder to a new issue, and try Graphics → Graphics API → Vulkan meanwhile. - Turnip on Adreno (issue #33): one report of the game closing with Turnip; we are waiting for the log of that run. The phone's own driver works.
- Every player in a System Link or co-op session should run the same release.
