ReStreet v1.5.3 — ONLINE BETA 🌍⚽
Open games now take you to the match by themselves, and the new launcher works everywhere, Linux included. On v1.5.1 or v1.5.2 the launcher offers this update by itself: press Update now.
What's new
Open games, fully automatic
- In the launcher's Social page, Create game (or Join someone's). The game doesn't need to be open.
- When both players are in, a "Game ready" message appears with a PLAY button.
- Both press PLAY: the game opens, skips the title screens and goes to the Friend Match set-up with your opponent by itself. Don't touch anything until the set-up appears.
New launcher on Linux (Wine/Proton) and on PCs without WebView2
The new launcher used to need Microsoft WebView2, so some players only saw the old one (and on Linux it showed red crosses). Now, when WebView2 isn't available, the launcher opens the same new interface in its own window using your browser (Chrome, Chromium, Edge or Brave as an app window; otherwise a normal browser window). Updates also work there.
Fixes
- The chat no longer says "Chat is not available on this server yet" while it works.
- The old launcher window no longer shows red crosses on Wine/Proton.
How to install
- On v1.5.1 or v1.5.2: open the launcher and press Update now.
- On v1.3, v1.4 or v1.5: close the launcher and the game, run ReStreet-1.5.3-Online-Beta.exe, pick your ReStreet folder, your online name and your server.
Your saves, settings and online name are kept.
Known issues (it's a beta!)
- No Rematch option at the end of a match yet.
- Videos (Street Network uploads) are turned off for now.
- Online Team Play: rarely the second player's game stays on the loading screen. Restart the game if it happens.
- Do not leave your player idle in a match: the game removes inactive players.

Remove
Run the patch again and choose Remove the online patch. Your offline game goes back to v1.3.
