Install apps
- The Apps tab installs apps from the Homebrew Channel catalog in one click, with each app's size and an Uninstall button once installed. It stops for a review only when there is something to decide, such as replacing an LG store copy or a screen saver. Apps that need root get it, as through the Homebrew Channel.
- Apps can also be installed from a URL or an uploaded .ipk, once switched on from the Apps tab.
- New apps appear on the home screen straight away, also with tiles hidden.
webOS 10 and later
- Custom screen savers and tile hiding are held back for now, since they can leave the picture, sound and HDMI control off until the TV is unplugged (#366).
Tile hiding
- Hiding several tiles quickly no longer leaves the home screen half-loaded or the HDMI inputs missing.
Other
- PicCap can be controlled from Home Assistant (opt-in).
- The dashboard token no longer stays in the address bar.
- OLED TVs whose model number has no OLED prefix, such as the Flex, are detected as OLED.
- Always Ready is no longer offered as a background service to turn off.
- Four more tested TVs: OLED77C4PSA, OLED65G36LA, OLED83G5WUA and OLED65C41LA.
