Fixes the Magic Remote losing its pointer and some buttons after standby on some TVs. Adds screen-time limits, daily settings backups, SSH key management and custom ad blocking.
Details
Fixed
- On a webOS 5 TV, v0.97.0's battery reading left the Magic Remote without its pointer and some buttons after the TV woke from standby, until a reboot. The battery is now read over Bluetooth only on webOS 9 and 10, where that has been tested. Other versions, except webOS 4, show no battery figure for now (#762).
- The TV uptime readout is gone from the Metrics tab and the TV app. On TVs that sleep in standby, such as a B8 with Quick Start, it came out hours short. Home Assistant and Prometheus keep it, with that caveat documented (#759).
New
- Screen-time limits on the Advanced tab: a daily limit, a bedtime, and daily limits for single apps or inputs. Each gives a warning five minutes before, then switches the TV off, turns the screen off, goes to Home, or only warns. On webOS 3 to 5, which have no separate Home screen, an app's limit switches the TV off instead (#747).
- Daily backup on the Server tab: the TV saves the same backup as Download backup once a day and keeps the last 7, each one downloadable or restorable (#750).
- SSH keys on the Server tab: lists the keys that can log in as root, adds and removes them, or deletes the key file to get the Homebrew Channel's password back after a reboot. Changing keys needs a token in
config.json(#751). - Custom ad blocking, last on the Privacy tab: upload your own hosts file to block its names as well as, or instead of, Glasshouse's list. It can be switched off without deleting it (#756).
Changed
- Watch time: LG's screen saver is counted on its own line, not as the app behind it, and counts toward no limit (#749).
- App icons for other devices: switched on from the MQTT tab. Launchers on other devices can show the TV's apps with their own icons, and Home Assistant's Launch App gets their addresses (#743).
- Focused window in Home Assistant: a new attribute on Active App names the LG window the remote is controlling, such as Settings over HDMI. It's only read while the MQTT bridge is on (#742).
- The Privacy tab's buttons no longer overflow at narrow widths.
