What's Changed
- A switched-off TV shows as off in Home Assistant. Entities no longer all go unavailable when the TV is switched off. A new Power sensor reads off, readings of what is on screen read Off, live measurements have no value, and settings that still hold keep theirs, including after a Home Assistant restart. Controls are greyed out once the TV is asleep, since nothing could act on them; everything goes unavailable only if the server stops while the TV is on. (#248)
- Waking the TV from Home Assistant. The TV's MAC address is now part of its Home Assistant device, and the guide shows how to wake it with Home Assistant's Wake on LAN integration, including a single switch that shows the TV's power and turns it on or off. (#248)
Home Assistant users updating from an earlier version: the TV's entities stay available while it is off, so automations that relied on them becoming unavailable should use the new Power sensor instead.
