The privacy panel is reorganised, and the ad blocker is called what it is rather than "on-TV ad & telemetry sinkhole".
Changed
- Ad & telemetry blocker: renamed from the sinkhole, and moved from the bottom of the panel, closed, to the top. Its tier buttons are the state, so the pill that repeated them is gone. (#69)
- Sections are one width: the two open ones spanned the panel while the three collapsible ones stopped 372px short, leaving their status and marker floating mid-page. Everything shares a right edge now, and a closed section reads as a bar. (#69)
- The lists run in two columns: a row is a sentence and a pill, and at full width the pill sat about 400px from the text it belonged to. Narrowing the panel would not have fixed it, since the description caps at 58ch. (#69)
- "Screen content recognition" and "Background services" are one section, "What's running now", with the recognition feature separated from the services behind it: ACR reporting "not running" directly above "Content recognition service — Running" read as a contradiction rather than as two layers. (#69)
- One vocabulary for state: amber is the TV collecting something, green is it not, and no row's description repeats the pill beside it. (#69)
Fixed
- Status pills were two different sizes: one rendered as a button inherited the 48px control height, so a row you could toggle stood nearly twice as tall as the read-only one beside it — 48px against 27px — and widths came from the label. Every pill is one box. (#69)
- The advertising ID buttons touched the rule below them, at every width from 1100 up. (#69)
- The services note promised a switch webOS 9 does not offer: its
initctllists no jobs, so those rows are read-only there and the note now says so. (#69)
Removed
- LG's recognition and advertising services are no longer listed among the running processes. The service bus starts them whenever anything asks them a question, this panel included, so the row reported a value it had caused. The API still reports them with the
onDemandflag. (#69)
