The privacy panel stops reporting services it started itself, and the two diagnostics daemons can be switched off for good.
Fixed
- The panel woke the services it then reported:
collectPrivacyaskedacr2andadmanagerquestions and scannedpsafterwards, so both were always running by the time it looked — the panel had reported "4 of 4 running" for as long as it had existed. The scan now runs first, and the two the service bus starts on demand are labelled rather than given a running state that was never the TV's choice. Reported in #61. (#65) - A missing
getAdidread as "no identifier assigned": the call does not exist on webOS 4.4.0, though it does on 4.4.3, and its failure was rendered as an answer about the TV rather than about the call. The panel now reports that the firmware cannot answer it, and disables the two actions that go through the same service. (#65)
New
uploaddandrdxdcan be switched off, and stay off across reboots through the boot hook, the same mechanism the sinkhole uses. Only those two: they are what upstart supervises, while the service bus restartsacr2andadmanageron the next question anything asks them. A TV whoseinitctllists no jobs, as on webOS 9, gets no toggles. (#65)- Names for the two consent flags webOS 9 adds,
marketingOnAllowedandshoppingOnAllowed, taken from the TV's owneulaGroupNamefor each. (#63)
