Manage Bluetooth headphones and speakers from the dashboard, Screen off on webOS 11's streaming buttons, a tidier Home tab with a switch for each of Glasshouse Home's animations, and Portuguese. Also: more of LG's telemetry blocked, webOS 11.2's log uploads switchable, and fixes for phone setup and clock syncing.

Details

  • Bluetooth audio: the Audio tab lists the headphones and speakers paired with the TV, and connects, disconnects or removes them. Find devices pairs a new one. A chooser under Control → Sound connects one without leaving the tab. Thanks to @Biditmangal (#1101).
  • Screen off on webOS 11: the Netflix, Prime Video and Home Hub buttons can be set to Screen off. Thanks to @fredziolf for testing (#1143, #1151).
  • Home tab: Glasshouse Home's settings are grouped under headings. Fade in and out is joined by separate switches for wallpaper drift, wallpaper cross-fade, smooth scrolling and sliding panels (#1196).
  • Recent apps on Glasshouse Home opens without a brief freeze (#1207).
  • Ad blocker: Ads & telemetry also blocks the Content Store's request logs, LG's report uploads, webOS 11's ad log host and LG's remote diagnostics. Everything also blocks webOS 11's service platform once the clock is set. Thanks to @SokolskyNikita and @ProfFrnswrth (#1111, #1121).
  • Log uploads to LG: on TVs that have them, the Privacy tab switches debug and fault log uploads off. Some TVs switch debug uploads back on at each start; an off chosen here is kept. The Apps tab's preload list also works on webOS 11.2. Thanks to @ProfFrnswrth (#1121).
  • Soundbars on older TVs: where a TV such as a C9 can't report its ARC link, the Audio tab still names the soundbar and its HDMI port. Thanks to @elforeign (#1091).
  • Clock from a time server: Glasshouse now checks the clock after setting it, and the Server tab says if the TV didn't take the time (#1201, #1204).
  • Phone setup: setting up Home Assistant from a phone works again; Save did nothing before (#1205).
  • Debugger port on webOS 6.5: it's now closed to the network reliably. Thanks to @vecluu (#1147).
  • Translations: European Portuguese, thanks to @arctumn (#1103), and every newer string in the other languages (#1192).
  • Dashboard: browsers fetch the page again only when it has changed (#1182), and the stats are read with less work (#1183).
