Glasshouse Home gains fading, hiding unplugged inputs, waking a console from its tile and any dashboard port, and Home Assistant gets streaming-button events and steadier input switching. The dashboard is complete in Spanish and starts on German.
Home Assistant users: two changes may need automations updated. Input Source now lists HDMI inputs by the names given in the TV's settings, such as "Apple TV (HDMI2)", so an automation that selects "HDMI 2" needs the new name, or the new input_ids attribute. And the Remote Button event now also fires for the streaming buttons, so an automation that acts on every press, such as one setting a light to the colour pressed, needs a condition naming the colour buttons. The remote button docs have one to copy.
Details
• Glasshouse Home: Fade in and out, an option on the Home tab that fades Home out before an app or input opens and back in when it returns. Hide inputs with nothing connected leaves unplugged inputs out of the Inputs row; inputs can still be hidden one by one. Thanks to @mmmago (#902).
• Glasshouse Home: choosing a console or other HDMI-CEC device wakes it and switches a receiver to it, as LG's own input picker does. Thanks to @Nutcasey (#903).
• Glasshouse Home: works on whichever port the dashboard is on, not only 8080. Thanks to @anilkusaksiz (#944).
• Glasshouse Home: the Home tab's rows show they open and close, adding channels is clearer, and drop-downs no longer have their arrow pressed against the edge (#992, #993).
• Screen saver: on OLED TVs where LG's panel care held the idle screen saver back for up to 30 minutes, it now starts as it should. Thanks to @Nutcasey (#873).
• Remote keys: Home is a choice for any key. A key set to the separate Home app earlier versions installed, which did nothing since, is set to Home automatically (#991). The Movies button on 2020 remotes can be remapped. Thanks to @gnacho (#912). With LG Input Hook installed, keys set here don't work, and the docs now say so (#966).
• Home Assistant: the Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, LG Channels, Rakuten TV and Alexa buttons send Remote Button events, like the colour buttons. Thanks to @Molotovsk (#900, #963, #986).
• Home Assistant: Input Source lists inputs by their names on the TV, with an input_ids attribute for automations. Thanks to @lukasbableck (#923, #967). A chosen input shows straight away and stays while the TV switches, instead of jumping back, and a quick second choice goes through (#987).
• Remote buttons: phantom colour presses, every colour twice a second, after webOS rotated its input log no longer happen. Thanks to @Molotovsk (#899).
• Network: the TV's name is shown first, with its IPv4 and, where the network has one, local IPv6 address under it, and the web dashboard's footer names the TV. IPv6 addresses are shown correctly throughout. Thanks to @mdlayher (#891, #961, #990).
• Languages: the dashboard is complete in Spanish, Glasshouse Home included. Thanks to @gnacho (#911). Glasshouse Home is in German, with the rest of the dashboard to follow. Thanks to @D4rk2tar (#926). Language is now chosen from a list (#969).
• Deploying from a Mac account managed by a company or school directory works again. Thanks to @tibuntu (#924).
• Glasshouse for Android is on Google Play (#945). Five more TVs are recorded as tested, and the docs have been reorganised (#970–#982, #937).
