The remote's keys can be set to open any app or input, or do nothing, and on webOS 10 the Home screen layout can be changed as an experimental feature.
Details
- Remote keys, on the Apps tab, sets what Netflix, Prime Video, Guide, Input, the color keys and the TV's other shortcut buttons do: as LG has it, nothing, or open an installed app, an HDMI input or Live TV. Each key is a tile showing what it does now. A change applies straight away and lasts across reboots, working before Glasshouse has started. Keys found only on remotes sold in other countries are folded away.

Credit to @mnestrud - On webOS 10, Home screen layout can hide LG's side buttons, the Quick Cards and the recommended shelf, and add HDMI input tiles, as on webOS 9. It is experimental there and off until switched on (#689).
- On a TV whose kernel has no firewall, the Server tab no longer offers a switch for the web app debugger, which it could not close, and says the debugger stays open to the network (#774).
