github ronynn/karui 2.1
2.1 New themes with reminders and recurring tasks for using Karui like a habit tracker, newline toggle and UI fixes

latest release: 2.2

Fixes:

  • Fixed: Floating Action Button behavior, one click to focus now (previously I also added feature that clicking it again willclose the keyboard but that was causing probs in android webview).
  • Toast Position no longer beneath navbar
  • Loading speedups, game perf and code improvements, check out the newer designs too meant to feel more alive
  • Text wrap to calendar event list

Design Stuff:

  • If keyboard focus floating action button was clicked, then keyboard should auto open when app is back in focus
  • Button in tab menu to Puff ( delete all marked notes in that tab) single click, try it too.
  • Settings page revamped
  • Widget buttons and the ones below input bar now use capital letters

New Features:

  • New: Toggle for using enter as newline (I use unexpected keyboard and had failed to notice gboard or others don't support shift to enter, this was a must have feature)
  • New: Recurring tasks and reminders (BETA): start a note with !Nx to repeat it.
    - !1d daily · !3d every 3 days · !1w weekly · !2m every 2 months · !1y yearly.
    - !m15 on the 15th of every month · !wsa every Saturday · !y05-01 every May 1st.
    - Deleting one occurrence deletes the whole series (and restoring brings it back whole).
    - Completing an occurrence automatically queues the next fourth one.
    - To pin a note to status bar, add it as a journal/calendar entry for today.
  • New themes replacing 2 older ones.
  • More visible line seperating notes in the list.

Upcoming features:

To add after exisiting features and their usage by everyone is thoroughly understood by me, no point in adding bloat features no one asked for

  • Time setting for scheduling reminders
  • Cleaner .md export
  • Sound or QR based tab data transfer device to device ornactual sync (experimental, feels gimmicky tbh), using syncthing or alternatives is the recommended method for now.
