Highlights

Settings are grouped into Switcher, Input, Windows and System sections, the pointer can follow you to another display, clicks can act on mouse release, and window previews no longer use the capture path that blocked Apple Watch unlock.

Added

  • Move pointer to the window's display (Settings › Appearance › Placement, off by default): with several displays, a switch moves the pointer to the center of the display that holds the window, unless the pointer is already there. (#205)
  • Click on mouse release (Settings › Mouse › Mouse release, off by default): like a menu, the highlight follows a held-button drag, releasing on a row or tab acts on it, releasing elsewhere cancels. (#247)
  • Always use English keyboard mapping (Settings › Keyboard › Input language, off by default): letter jumps, Vim keys, panel shortcuts and search use the US layout whatever input source is active.
  • Quick-switch delay can now be set to 0. (#216)
  • cmux shows its light or dark Dock icon in the switcher instead of the bundle icon.

Changed

  • The settings sidebar is grouped under Switcher, Input, Windows and System headers, with Keyboard, Mouse and Trackpad as their own tabs, and each pane links to related tabs.
  • Opening the switcher costs about half the CPU it did.
  • In the previews layout, the window you leave is recaptured right away, so its preview shows its current content. (#145)
  • Browser tabs load about 6 times faster (41 Safari tabs: 1.6 s to 0.28 s).
  • With live previews on, the selected window's preview updates first.
  • Live previews now work on macOS 13 too.

Fixed

  • Window previews no longer capture through ScreenCaptureKit, which marked the Mac as screen-shared and blocked Apple Watch unlock, and nothing is captured while the screen is locked. (#200)
  • Windows show again after unlocking the screen. (#250)
  • A vertical trackpad swipe now steps rows in a multi-row grid, like the Up and Down keys. (#218)
  • ⌘Tab shows the switcher again when another app intercepts the ⌘ press.
  • The window you switch to from the panel becomes active, so input method candidates no longer appear in a screen corner.
  • Window titles that changed while the switcher was hidden are current when it opens.
  • Letter jump and search work on more layouts under Secure Event Input, and Hebrew Q no longer starts a search. (#242)
  • Titles typed in "Hide titles containing" are saved without pressing Return. (#219)
  • Shortcut recording works on macOS 27.
