Highlights
Settings is reorganized into ten tabs grouped by what you are trying to do, so a setting now sits next to the feature it changes.
Changed
- Settings has ten tabs — General, Profiles, Shortcuts, Switcher, Controls, Tabs, Apps, Appearance, Privacy, About — grouped by task, so keyboard, mouse and search keys are in one place instead of three, and window arranging lives under Shortcuts rather than under a switcher pane.
- Switcher, Controls and Appearance now say up front that what they show are the defaults, and that many of them can be overridden per shortcut under Profiles.
- The Letter hints and Type-to-filter descriptions name the key you actually bound to open search, instead of always claiming it is
/. - The Shortcuts, Profiles and Tabs tabs have icons that stay legible at sidebar size.
Fixed
- Long setting descriptions no longer lose their last line — most visible in German, French and Polish, where the copy wraps further than in English.
- Update checks that run into GitHub's hourly rate limit now wait until it resets and tell you when to try again, instead of retrying against an API that has already refused and reporting
HTTP 403.
Removed
- The Experimental tab. Nothing was dropped: each of its settings moved next to the feature it changes, still behind an "unstable" notice.
