Highlights
The switcher now opens at one size on every display, reads as real glass instead of blur, keeps the grid on a single row, and lets you rebind the in-panel search and tab-peek keys.
Added
- "Open search" and "Peek tabs" are now recordable shortcuts, per profile, alongside the other in-panel keys. Defaults stay ⌘/ and ⌘, and clearing a recorder turns the key off. (#169)
Changed
- The switcher is the same size on every display. It used to scale itself by screen width, so the same setting gave you a panel that swallowed a 5K screen and a modest one on a laptop. Size 100% is now the size of the macOS ⌘Tab panel, and your stored percentage is re-based once so it keeps its relation to the default. (#170)
- The panel reads as glass rather than frosted blur: your wallpaper stays legible through it instead of being flattened into a slab, and the hairline border around the panel is gone.
- The grid keeps every window on one line by shrinking the icons, the way the macOS switcher does, instead of opening a second row that moves the selection mid-cycle. Appearance > Layout > Single row turns it off.
- Browser tab previews and live previews left the Experimental pane for Appearance > Previews, next to the layout they affect. Your existing choice carries over, and both stay off by default.
- Live previews are now greyed out on macOS 13 with the reason shown, instead of silently doing nothing when switched on.
- The in-panel search is a pill sized to your query and centered over the results. It follows the Size slider like everything else, and the panel no longer squeezes the query as the match count narrows.
Fixed
- The panel no longer grows and shrinks repeatedly while it is open when a browser denies Automation access. The missing consent is surfaced in Settings > Switcher > Tabs instead. (#171)
- An app rule set to ignore shortcuts now really hands ⌘Tab to the app. The switcher used to open anyway, because a second trigger caught the chord the first one had released. (#172)
- Browser tab previews show the current page as soon as the switcher opens, instead of the previous page for a second or two. (#145)
- Closing a browser tab no longer leaves a later tab showing the closed tab's preview.
- A key recorded for both "Open search" and "Peek tabs" now peeks tabs consistently, including while a password field holds secure input.
- Settings and the config reference name the chord you actually bound to "Peek tabs" instead of a hardcoded .
