Highlights
This beta makes the switcher stop losing windows — under Stage Manager, when leaving full screen, and across full-screen Spaces — adds editor autocomplete for the config file, and fixes shortcuts and the panel dropping out mid-switch.
Added
- New "Move hidden apps to the bottom" toggle under Behavior → Contents: leave it on for the familiar grouping at the end of the list, or turn it off to keep hidden apps in their normal most-recent position.
- The config file now ships a
schema.jsonbeside it, so an editor completes every key, describes what it does, lists the allowed values, and warns on a typo or an out-of-range number — even for settings this Mac has never saved.
Changed
- Beta builds now show their own
26.7-beta.Nversion in About and follow the beta update channel out of the box, so a freshly installed beta is offered the next one instead of sitting on the stable feed.
Fixed
- The switcher no longer drops most of your windows while Stage Manager is on — a 7-window app that listed 4 rows now lists all 7 (#116).
- A window coming back from full screen stays in the list instead of disappearing until something else happens to refresh that app (#148).
- With Visible Spaces selected, standing in a full-screen window now still shows the other windows of the desktop it belongs to, and standing on that desktop still shows the full-screen window.
- Clicking the green hover dot on a full-screen window now restores it instead of doing nothing.
- Fixed the stale, see-through switcher rectangle left composited over an app that was slow to take focus (#146).
- Direct-activation shortcuts no longer stop working after the first chord of a session — with ⌃1 and ⌥2 bound, pressing one no longer swallows the other.
- A scoped profile panel now stays open while you hold the modifier and tap Tab to browse it, instead of force-closing mid-decision after a password field has been focused.
- The plus glyph in the green hover dot is now centered in the circle.
