The Rocket Pool team is proud to present v1.0.0 of the Smartnode stack for our release to the Ethereum Mainnet!
With this release, you can now run a node on Mainnet, just as you have done on the Prater Testnet before.
We would like to thank all of the node operators that have participated in our previous beta tests and our Prater testnet - without your help and feedback, the Smartnode stack would not be nearly as robust as it is today.
This is a required update to the v1.0.0 prerelease of the Smartnode stack.
To upgrade and keep the same network that you have now (either Prater or Mainnet), follow the Smartnode upgrade instructions.
If you want to remove your Prater installation and upgrade to a Mainnet installation, follow the official migration guide.
Installer Changes
- The smart contract addresses for Rocket Pool on Mainnet are now included, unlocking the Smartnode stack (though node registrations will be disabled until we formally launch).
- All ETH1 clients now limit their event queries to 25,000 each, to reduce the burden on the ETH1 clients during total RPL earnings calculation and Oracle Node operation.
Smartnode Changes
rocketpool minipool exit
now works with Nimbus v1.5.2, and informs the user of an error if the exit failed.rocketpool minipool status
now informs you when any of your minipools are eligible for a contract upgrade.- The cumulative RPL rewards calculation now uses a cache, which significantly lowers the burden on the ETH1 client when metrics are enabled.
- The Oracle DAO's
rocketpool_watchtower
container now produces metrics regarding scrubbed minipools to Prometheus so they can be viewed on the Grafana dashboard.
