So people have asked me to use Instagram but I dont trust it so lets hammer Instagram into this gallery 😄
Thanks to the great library @ahmdrz goinsta found here https://github.com/ahmdrz/goinsta This gallery now supports uploading a lower (1024X1024) res image (why should we give facebook our best images) Also since I dont trust facebook with a 10 foot barge poll the gallery will also backup images on Instagram.
Due to the nature of how the goinsta library works it needs your username/password no API keys. I not a fan of storing this data even at a configuration level. so it is stored in memory, this mean each time you restart the gallery you will need to add your Instagram credentials.
This build also includes updates to the admin ui.
- Edit Image names and captions
- Backup and restore the internal DB. This is mainly useful if you want to save custom captions
