Ambient mode is here! It will make the LEDS follow the colors on your screen :D

v1.6.4

  • I think I found the sleeping bug where device would seem to be turned off but gets really hot and then you can either hold power like 20 seconds or wait for battery to drain before being able to turn it back on, the problem seems to be with the process for watching the toggle switch to mute the audio. This process seems to hang when powering down the device in certain situations and the device just hangs in an endless loop. If you try this update please update me if you still have this problem after or not. For me it seems to work, but I am not sure about if the way it happens for me is the same for everyone. You do loose the mute with the side switch on this update, but I am planning to make the side toggle configurable in upcoming releases. But atleast for now hopefully this should solve this awfull MinUI bug. But your feedback is very welcome as this is a very hard inconsistent bug which seems happens to people for a variety of reasons.

v1.6.3 update notes IMPORTANT INFO!

  • Updated SNES core to Snes9x latest (minUI was using Snes9x2005). Your previous save states from snes9x2005 don't work with updated SNES9x core! (Normal in game save files work fine!), So make sure to save in game before updating!
  • Moved the brightness indicator to the color temp setting, cause colortemp is better to have an indicator (for 0 value), brightness is just whatever.

1.6.2 update notes

  • Color temperature setting, hold select and use volume up and down to adjust screen color temperature

1.6.1 update notes

  • Ambient mode is here!
  • Small performance improvement
  • Cleaned up useless settings menu items

Please read before you install/update

Please also install my LedControl app from the Extras zip or just download latest release from
https://github.com/ro8inmorgan/LedControl/releases

Drop LedControl.pak in the Tools/tg5040 folder on your SD Card and boot up your device, now open the Led Control App from Tools section and set all Leds you want to use for Ambient mode to static effect and adjust the brightness and default color to your liking.

Now when in a game you can open up the Options and then Frontend and there you find Ambient mode, set to all or choose Leds you want to follow the game colors. Save settings and enjoy!

How to install/update

Just copy MinUI.zip and the trimui folder to your SD Card to update / install
Extra's can be copied optionally to your SD Card
