We are excited to announce the release of v1.5.0. Notable changes are discussed below.
Please check out this blog post for more details.
New Features
- Multi-language support
- Create tags from keywords (also called tags in Explorer)
- Write tags as keywords for files that support it (e.g. .jpg, .mp4)
- New tag attribute: Inherit. With this attribute, items within tagged folders, up to the chosen depth, will inherit this tag. This replaces the tag inheritance functionalities in previous versions.
- Notes are now searchable
- Linked items are clustered together when sorted by Linked items
- Option to scan multiple levels up the folder tree for potential tags
- Option to quickly expand/collapse all levels of a tag or folder tree (Right-click on the expand button)
- Portable zip version
Refinements
- Redesigned grouping UI to make groups more visually obvious
- Increased Tag Combo Capacity
- Renamed "Multiselect mode" to "Disengage navigation" and changed the icon to reflect its purpose better
- Context menu shows close to the pointer
- Load shell context menu items on demand (when hovering over "Show more items")
- Improved auto-update experience (Settings -> About -> Auto update) for non-Store installed versions
Bug Fixes
- Occasionally, Ritt's settings file becomes corrupted and Ritt will fail to launch
- Launching Ritt from a .ritt database file opens the previous database file instead
- File change watcher sometimes stops working
