What's New
Ship progress in Codex
- A
$speckit-spex-shiprun in Codex now shows where it is: a one-line banner (for example🧬 ship 🔨 implement ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓░░ 7/8) and an eight-stage checklist that updates after every stage change, pause, failure and resume $cc-spex-initasks once per project whether to add Codex's "task progress" item to the status line and terminal title, and it keeps your config's comments and formatting- OpenCode shows the banner only. Claude Code works as before
Bundled Codex plugin
- The Codex plugin
cc-spexnow ships the complete spex source, so$cc-spex-initruns setup from the installed plugin with no clone or download - The installed extensions always match the plugin version
Finish runs verify first, stamp removed
finishis now the single close-out command. It runs verification before squash or merge and stops when a gate fails (--no-verifyskips it)- A passing verify is recorded against a content fingerprint, so finish skips re-verification when the code hasn't changed
- The separate
stampcommand is gone
Ship oversight control
- Brainstorm asks which oversight level (smart, always, never) to use when it hands off to ship
--resume --ask <level>(or replying "continue with never" to a pause) changes the oversight level on a paused pipeline
Smarter brainstorming
- Synced with Superpowers 7.0.1: brainstorm reads what you pointed at before asking anything, asks open questions first, plays back its understanding as it goes, and lists the surviving approaches before writing anything
Walkthrough step counts
- Every walkthrough step reads "Step n of M", and the status line indicator always shows done/total
Fix: specify switched the main checkout to the feature branch (#57)
- With
spex-worktrees, the worktree is now created before the branch, so other sessions in the main checkout keep committing to the default branch - Worktree preparation no longer depends on the git extension's internal branch script, which broke when spec-kit renamed it
- Existing projects need to run
/spex:init --refreshonce to register the new hook
Fix: setup from a temporary source and extension selection (#58)
- Setup works again when its source lives under
/tmpor$TMPDIR recommendedandallnow disable unselected extensions, andallno longer enablesspex-detach
Fix: status line
- The ship status line no longer stays on "paused" after you reply
- Parallel ship pipelines no longer show each other's progress, and the context percentage renders again
- Map, gear and eye icons no longer run into their labels
Fix: Codex init flags
$cc-spex-initno longer accepts the Claude Code--refresh/--updateflags, because every run already refreshes from the bundled source
