Tisty 1.9.2
The store is untouched again: this reads and writes what 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 do, so
one machine can take it and the others can wait.
The window notices what lands in the folder
Changes travelled and were nowhere to be seen. Not because they had not arrived
— they were on disk — but because the window only brought anything home when it
was opened, when it got the focus back, and every fifteen minutes. Sitting in
front of it, watching, was the one case where none of the three ever happened,
and closing and opening the app was what made everything appear at once.
It glances at the shared folder every thirty seconds now, and only while the
window is on screen: in the tray, or behind another app, it does nothing at all.
A glance reads no part of what the folder holds — it is the size and the time of
the folder's own segments, three files, measured at 5 ms on a Google Drive
folder against the 115 KB a whole round reads to compare them. When nothing
moved, nothing happens; when something did, the round runs and the window fills
the way it always did.
An assistant can see which tags are already in use
It could file a tag but never look at the ones the person already writes, so it
coined a second word for something tagged already and split the subject in two.
tags hands back every tag in use, the most used first, with how many times
each appears, in the plain form they are filed under.
What a tag is and how it is written are not the same thing: capitals and accents
change nothing, so #Salud reads as the sentence needs it and is filed as #salud.
Subjects are what is counted, not tags — six different ones is already a lot for
one piece of writing, a subject takes as many words as it truly needs, and a
word that merely appears in the text is no subject. And a document takes no tag
field at all: it is tagged by writing #word in its own text, which was nowhere
said until now.
Two more things an assistant had to learn by being refused are written down: a
folder is a plain name and never a path, and a document already here is moved
with file_doc, not with a folder passed to the rewrite.
