Tisty 1.8.1
Two lines about updating that were not doing their job.
A copy installed from the Microsoft Store is told a new version exists and then
that the Store installs it for you — which leaves somebody waiting without
knowing for how long, and with nothing to do about it. It now says how to have
it straight away: open the Store and ask it to get updates. The Store still
brings it on its own, as it always did; there is simply no longer a reason to
sit and wonder.
The command offered to a copy of the command line kept by Homebrew was
brew upgrade tisty-cli, which reads the index already on the machine.
Homebrew refreshes that index by itself only once a day, so the one person the
line is written for — somebody who has just read that a new version is out —
was the likeliest to be told everything was already up to date. The line is now
brew update && brew upgrade tisty-cli, and does what it says.
The application installed by Homebrew keeps its button, and that is not an
oversight: the cask is published with auto_updates true, so Homebrew stands
back from it on purpose and Tisty is the one that replaces it.
Nothing else changed. The window, the store and the sync are 1.8.0.
