Diagrams you draw your own way, and they look just so
A freeform diagram
- The flowchart is now the freeform diagram, and it starts blank. Its palette holds every shape Mermaid draws, to drag onto the canvas or press, and each shape stays where you leave it.
- Lanes are dragged with everything in them and sized from their edges; drop a shape inside and it joins the lane.
- Arrows run at right angles between the sides that face each other, and an arrow let go on empty space makes a new shape already joined.
- Lay it out by itself in the direction you choose, or after every change. Long words go on to a new line instead of stretching a shape.
Every diagram on the same footing
- Class diagrams and database schemas work on the same canvas, with a palette, a bar that undoes, aligns and zooms, and relations that show how many there are at each end.
- Packages of classes are lanes, and a schema keeps each table where you put it.
- The mind map gets a palette of its shapes and the same bar, and still lays itself out.
On the page, as in the window
- Mind maps, schemas, freeform and class diagrams look on the page just as you drew them.
- Hover a diagram to export it, edit it as Markdown right there, or open it in the diagram window.
Also in this version
- The format bar steps aside inside code blocks and formulas, and a choice is picked by pressing anywhere on its words.
- Links from the help to the Markdown guide open the copy Tisty carries, even without a connection.
