Tisty 1.36.0-rc.2
Your data in the cloud, encrypted with a phrase only you know
- This is a test version, to try out on your computers before everyone gets it.
- Encrypt what Tisty keeps in Google Drive, OneDrive or your own server with a 24-word phrase only you know: whoever sees those files, your provider included, can no longer read your tasks or documents.
- Before it starts, Tisty checks that your phrase is written down, that there is room in your cloud and that all your computers can follow.
- You keep working while it encrypts. If you close Tisty or lose the connection, it picks up where it left off, and you can cancel at any time.
Your other computers, let in
- Computers that already sync with you get the key on their own as soon as one of your computers is on, and write nothing unencrypted meanwhile.
- A new computer comes in with «Let in from another computer»: you type the code it shows on one of your computers that already has the key.
- Or open your cloud on any computer by writing your phrase. Only the key stays there, never the phrase.
Back to unencrypted whenever you like
- Turn the encryption off from Security, and your other computers notice and keep syncing without you doing anything on each one, even the ones that were away when you did it.
- The old unencrypted copy stays in your cloud until you choose to delete it.
Also in this version
- Settings takes over the sidebar, with General, Sync, Security, Your data, Assistants, Maintenance and About each in its own section.
- The update notice shows only when there is one and takes you straight to About.
- Diagrams read well at any width and in dark mode, and long tasks and documents open without stalling the window.
- Clearer words on the encryption screens, in English and Spanish.
