Tisty 1.36.0
Your data in the cloud, encrypted with a phrase only you know
- Encrypt what Tisty keeps in Google Drive, OneDrive or your own server with a 24-word phrase only you know: whoever sees those files, your provider included, can no longer read your tasks or documents.
- Before it starts, Tisty checks that your phrase is written down, that there is room in your cloud and that all your computers can follow.
- You keep working while it encrypts. If you close Tisty or lose the connection, it picks up where it left off, and you can cancel at any time.
- Go back to an unencrypted cloud whenever you like: your other computers notice and keep syncing on their own, and your phrase stays yours.
Your other computers, let in
- Computers that already synced with you get the key on their own, and while they wait they say they are asking for it.
- A new computer comes in with «Let in from another computer»: you type the twenty digits it shows on one of your computers that already has the key.
- Or open your cloud on any computer by writing your phrase. Only the key stays there, never the phrase.
Always know what is going on
- From the moment you press encrypt, Tisty says it is getting your cloud ready, then how many files are copied and how many are left, even with large videos.
- When it has to wait, it says why: no connection, something blocking the way, your cloud asking for a pause or a brief hiccup, and that it carries on by itself.
- Try again only shows when something truly stopped, and always with the reason.
- Deleting the old unencrypted copy shows it is under way and how many files went.
- Choosing a cloud, signing in again and moving your data say they are checking while they wait, instead of showing an empty screen.
Also in this version
- Settings takes over the sidebar, with General, Sync, Security, Your data, Assistants, Maintenance and About each in its own section.
- Confirming your phrase or updating a computer shows up at once in Security.
- Diagrams read well at any width and in dark mode, and long tasks and documents open without stalling the window.
