Tisty 1.31.5
Everything mended since 1.31.0, in one update.
Attachments on every computer
- An image or a file you attached on another computer now opens here when you sync with OneDrive or Google Drive, instead of saying it has not arrived yet.
- Files that were saved twice are joined into one, shown to you first, and every link that names them keeps working.
Your assistants
- Assistants that start Tisty from Linux inside Windows, or through a launcher of their own, connect again.
- Settings, Assistants knows some 27 assistants, also the ones in Ubuntu or another Linux inside Windows, and connects them without touching the rest of their settings.
- "Look again" finds an assistant you just installed without closing Tisty, and "Repair" points every assistant that still uses another or a deleted Tisty back to this one.
- On Mac, assistants installed with Homebrew or npm, such as GitHub Copilot CLI, are found, and the commands to connect one by hand are no longer cut off.
- An assistant can say a task or a step is done when it did the work; nothing is ticked or closed on its own, and you decide.
- When an assistant changes the document you have open, you see it at once, marked for a few seconds, and you can put back what it said before.
- Assistants read a short guide when they connect and ask for the rest only when they need it, search by title first, notice pages listed under an old name, and warn you about passwords and keys written inside commands.
Documents and tasks
- Press Ctrl+E to edit the whole document in one place, pick words and type to replace them, and Ctrl+A chooses the whole document.
- Renaming a page also renames it where its document lists it.
- Documents and task pages read more calmly, with no blue frame around an opened task, and the narrow task card keeps the way to close in sight.
- A task's history shows one line of each note, with the full note when you hover it.
Sync
- When Google Drive or OneDrive asks to wait, the foot of the sidebar shows it within seconds and clears it as soon as syncing carries on.
- Erasing your copies from a cloud you left is much faster, counts as it goes, and lets you keep working; a computer that follows you after it can move to the new cloud.
- The size shown before a first upload, and the size of a backup, count only your tasks, documents and attachments.
Mac and the window
- When you close the window to keep Tisty running on Mac, it stays only in the menu bar, not in the Dock too.
- Settings and About scroll with the wheel wherever the pointer is.
- The move dialog can be left from its first step, unused attachments are freed from 90 days, inline code is Ctrl+Shift+C, and sizes near the next unit read right.
What's Changed
- feat(mcp): a short guide on connecting, rules and language by topic, find puts titles first by @rgdevment in #355
- fix(cloud): an attachment asked for by the leaf a body names is fetched instead of said to be on its way by @rgdevment in #356
