Features
-
Layout presets can optionally now remember their main window size and position independently. [#1856]
A new option to enable this behaviour for a particular preset is available in the new preset properties dialogue available from the Layout preferences tab.
The option is disabled by default. If the option is enabled for a layout preset, switching to that preset will restore the window size and position used when that preset was last active.
Presets with the option disabled share the same main window size and position as previously.
Layout preset-specific window sizes and positions are included with the preset when exporting the current configuration to an FCL file.
-
The standard main window size and position can now be included in FCL configuration exports. [#1862, #1863]
-
Pressing Alt now shows the main menu as a pop-up menu in the top-left corner of the main window when there is no menu bar in the toolbar area or in the layout. [#1816, #1860]
This includes being able to directly access each top-level menu using their access keys (e.g. Alt+F for the File menu).
-
Artwork view and Item details have two new automatic tracking modes prioritise the current or playlist selection over the playing item. [#1842, #1848, #1857, #1861]
Additionally, Item properties now has the same tracking modes as the artwork view and Item details. [#1850]
All automatic tracking modes were renamed to make the priority order clearer.
-
Playlist-specific fields and dynamic track info are now available in playlist selection tracking modes in Item details. [#1861]
-
The following dialogues are now resizeable [#1833, #1835, #1836]:
- Add new group
- Edit group
- Options – Buttons
- Select a command – Buttons
- Options – Item details
- Options – Item properties
- Export settings

Additionally, they now remember their size and position when next opened. [#1839]
-
The list of commands in the Buttons toolbar command picker can now be filtered using a search box. [#1830]
-
When adding a new button, the Buttons toolbar command picker now defaults to the last used command and item groups. [#1840]
Additionally, it no longer shows item groups other than ‘None’ for the ‘Main menu items’ and ‘Separator’ command groups.
-
The Buttons toolbar command picker now uses the same list view control used elsewhere in Columns UI for improved consistency. [#1832]
This change also means that truncated items in the command list now have tooltips.
-
Double-clicking on list items in the Buttons toolbar options dialogue now opens the command picker. [#1827]
-
The command to reset all layout presets on the Layout preferences tab was moved from a dedicated button to the context menu for the delete button. [#1856]
