Minor Changes

• Customize transformed-file caching through the new FileCache interface, which requires only get and put methods. Existing FileStorage backends remain compatible without configuration changes (see #11859).

  The new createFsFileCache() factory provides an opt-in filesystem LRU cache with configurable directory, entry count, and per-file and total size limits. It accepts native File objects and structurally compatible implementations such as LazyFile. Caching remains disabled when files.cache is omitted.

  Reduce memory allocations when serving and caching transformed files.

• Optimize named imports through eligible barrel files by rewriting them to their resolved implementation modules. This avoids intermediary requests and removes side-effect-free dependency branches that are no longer reachable while preserving package export restrictions.

Patch Changes

• Include the configured HMR module importer and its dependencies in generated import maps, so its bare imports remain resolvable even when they are not used by the app entry.

• Improve browser HMR for transitive dependency updates

• Fix incorrect asset responses when concurrent file transforms modify their input bytes in place (see #11859).

• Declare package modules as side-effect-free.
