A sync that can no longer lose your music, search fixed for regions where it showed nothing, a Home tab you arrange yourself, and a Now Playing screen rebuilt to fit every phone. Two of the fixes in this release came from community contributors.
Sync
- Refresh mode can no longer destroy playlists (#348). One failed Spotify API call mid-sync used to empty playlists, and an error during Liked Songs pagination could silently mirror your library down to whatever pages succeeded — the reports of shrinking libraries and zero-song playlists were this. Every fetch now records whether it completed, and Refresh refuses to remove anything against a failed or incomplete fetch: a bad sync can only add, never subtract. Verified by repeatedly killing the network mid-sync — zero tracks lost. Accumulate mode was never affected.
- Ejecting an SD card no longer un-marks your external library (#346, by @chaudhary-lakshay). The launch repair sweep treated every file on an unmounted volume as deleted — permanently, even after reinsert. Absence now only counts on a mounted volume.
Search
- Results now appear in all regions (#345, by @chaudhary-lakshay). YouTube serves a different response shape to some regions and unauthenticated sessions; the app parsed only the other one and showed "No results found" over a response full of hits. Both shapes parse now.
Home
- Arrange Home your way: Settings > Appearance > Home layout reorders or hides any of the six content sections (#341). Hidden Qobuz sections also skip their catalog requests entirely. The gap between the genre chips and the first section is halved.
Now Playing
- Rebuilt to fit every phone (#352). The controls anchor above the lyrics bar and the album art absorbs exactly the space your screen has — large display scales and shorter phones no longer push the play controls off-screen, and nothing crowds or leaves dead space on tall ones. Closes the OnePlus report in #333.
- Album art heals itself (#338, #339). Streaming or skipping to a YouTube-sourced track now permanently replaces its video-thumbnail art with the real album cover, everywhere in the app — previously the fix lasted only as long as the session.
- "Save lyrics sidecar" is gone (#340). Saving lyrics with a downloaded song now lives inside the lyrics panel itself, in plain language: "Save with song file."
Library
- The shuffle button explains itself (#350). Shuffle plays your downloaded tracks; when nothing is downloaded yet it now says so instead of doing nothing.
