release: v0.9.50
Lossless for your YouTube tracks (via Antra):
- YouTube-sourced tracks in your library can now download and stream in lossless FLAC. Stash finds the matching Spotify recording on demand - matching conservatively on title, artist, and duration so you get the right master, not a live take, cover, or sped-up re-upload. When no confident match exists it falls back to YouTube exactly as before. Matches are remembered permanently, so each track only needs to be found once.
Hi-res audio fix:
- 24-bit/192 kHz FLAC tracks no longer crackle or stutter. The audio limiter was doing quadratically more work as sample rate climbed and was starving the playback engine at 192 kHz - it now does the same job in constant time, with bit-identical sound.
Streaming queue fixes:
-
The queue now shows the tracks that will actually play next. While streaming lossless, "Up Next" used to list your downloaded tracks instead of the rest of the mix - the player followed the right order, but the queue display did not. Reordering and removing tracks in the queue also now correctly affects what plays next.
-
Tapping a new track while one is already playing no longer freezes the mini player on a disabled loading spinner. The current track keeps playing - pause still works - and the display only switches once the new track actually starts.
