Bootstrap controls and filters
Bootstrap 4 and 5 receive redesigned search, filters, filter pills, column selection and per-page controls. This integrates the contribution by @daniel-skopek in #2329, with compatibility, localization and accessibility fixes in #2336. Existing search icons and customization attributes remain supported; icons use the package's installed Heroicons dependency. Styles are scoped to Bootstrap table wrappers.
Filter popovers now stay inside the table toolbar on phone, tablet and desktop layouts, including RTL. The Per Page label is translated across supported locales.
Upgrading
- If you published package views or CSS, compare and merge the updated files with your overrides. Alternatively, back up customizations before republishing the
livewire-tables-viewsandlivewire-tables-publictags. Keep core asset injection enabled or include the package stylesheet explicitly. See styling documentation. - For independent reordering sessions on pages containing multiple tables, assign every table a distinct
setTableName()value, such ascustomersandorders. The default remainstableto preserve existing query-string behavior. See multiple-table guidance and #2328. - Laravel 10/11 compatibility is retained, but these framework versions are outside security support and have unresolved upstream advisories. Prefer patched Laravel 12.69+ or 13.30+ for production. The four specific exceptions used only in temporary compatibility CI do not disable security checks for applications.
Maintenance and validation
GitHub runs the supported test matrix on the merged master commit and version tag, in addition to the reviewed pull request.
Corrected CI dependency constraints and cache installation, updated verified Actions and Codecov, supported current PHPUnit releases, and added PHP 8.1/8.5 boundary coverage. Release notification automation now receives the configured secret correctly and uses a pinned action.
The full suite passes 1,541 tests / 5,485 assertions. Laravel 10–13 compatibility, localization, PHPStan, formatting and actual GitHub test workflows pass; current Laravel 12/13 dependency audits are clean. GitHub tests also pass on the merged master commit and release tag. Codecov project coverage passes at 90.63%; all 28 GitHub checks on the released commit pass. The older premerge head (6fc655b) retains an external empty-patch reporting callback pending, despite a successful coverage retry and zero changed coverable files. No checks were overridden. Interactive Chrome smoke checks pass search, filters, keyboard input, columns and pagination, plus all 16 Bootstrap theme/direction/viewport combinations. Firefox/Safari and exhaustive accessibility testing were not performed.
