Fixed
- Generated device names correctly identify Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera on iOS, Chromium-based Edge and Opera, and Android devices. Thanks to @lbeauvisage for #148; the contributor commit is preserved in the maintenance merge.
- Missing user agents return the unknown browser and OS label without a PHP deprecation. Existing fingerprints and stored device names are preserved.
Maintenance
- Updated GitHub Actions and tested PHP 8.2–8.5 on Linux and Windows with Laravel 11–13, including lowest and stable dependency combinations.
- Added Pest 5 support alongside Pest 3 and 4, with stable dependency resolution.
- Updated device management, installation and upgrade documentation, including the correct package 3.x recommendation for Laravel 10 applications.
Compatibility
PHP 8.2+ and Laravel 11, 12 or 13 remain supported. Laravel 11 is end of life and has unpatched upstream security advisories; production applications should use patched Laravel 12.69+ or 13.30+ releases. Only temporary legacy CI installations allow those verified advisory IDs. Applications using this package retain Composer security blocking.
