📜 RapidOS v1.1 changelog

RapidOS has become significantly more stable compared to the previous version.
The playbook has been heavily reworked, so only the main changes are listed.

• The playbook now works offline (exceptions: browsers, components downloaded from the internet, and Defender Switcher which downloads CAB packages).
• Added support for Windows 25H2.
• Windows Updates are fully disabled while keeping MS Store, Xbox, component downloads, etc. working.
• A new version of DefenderSwitcher rewritten in PowerShell is used.
• Improved removal of system components.
• Laptop optimisation: battery life and temperatures now match stock Windows.
• Game Bar is now removed (exception: AMD processors with two CCDs and 3D cache; it can be restored via RapidOS Toolbox).
• RapidOS Toolbox now includes installation of HEIF, HEVC and classic Windows 7 games.
• Services section reworked:
  • some are limited by blocking internet,
  • some are set to "Manual",
  • some are fully disabled.
• Service grouping is enabled again, but only for specific services - without breaking apps like Xbox.
• Network and MMCSS settings added (MMCSS is applied with a backup).
• Hibernation is disabled only on PCs with SSDs (laptops are not affected).
• Custom power plans removed: a modified Balanced plan is now used.
  • AC (mains power) - minor changes.
  • DC (battery) - unchanged.
• A Home tab appeared in Windows Settings, with Microsoft account promotions removed.
• Start menu and taskbar cleaning reworked: stable cleaning without touching the user's pinned shortcuts.
• Fixed a Start menu bug on Windows 11.
• Visual effects reworked:
  • up to 8 GB RAM - animations disabled,
  • 8 GB and above - animations enabled.
• Task Manager is now always on top.
• Recommendation disabling removed; an improved way to hide them is added via RapidOS Toolbox.
• Disk cleanup fixed - now works without crashes.
• Fixed a case where Microsoft account sync between system apps did not work even when enabled.
• Browser optimisation for Brave, Chrome, Edge, Firefox - added and/or improved.
• Many performance issues fixed.
• Privacy improved.
• Experimental dxgkrnl parameters removed.

ℹ️ Important information

• Upgrading from v1.0 requires a full Windows reinstall.
• ISO inject is not available in the current playbook version.
• Version v1.1 must be installed only on a clean Windows.
  Installing over v1.0 is not supported, and help will not be provided in this case.
