Improvements
- DataGrid and PivotDataGrid get
EnumTranslationFunc, a hook that receives the enum value instead of only its display text.EnumFilterTranslationFuncis called with the display text, so it cannot tell two enums that share a member name apart and cannot hand the value to a typed localization service. The new hook takes precedence in the cell values, the CSV and Excel exports, the simple and advanced enum filter dropdowns, the check-box list filter and the pivot grid's enum filters, and returningnullfalls back to the display text andEnumFilterTranslationFuncfor that value (#2798). - DropDown and DropDownDataGrid clear the selection on Backspace as well as Delete when
AllowClearis set. The clear button is not a tab stop, which left Delete as the only keyboard way to clear a value, and a Mac keyboard sends Backspace for its delete key, so a keyboard user on macOS could not clear the selection at all. Backspace in the filter input keeps editing the search text (#2799). - ChipList sets
aria-activedescendantto the focused option, so screen readers announce the focused chip while the listbox keeps focus, and rendersaria-multiselectableastrueorfalseinstead of an empty attribute (#2797). Thanks to @ewerton336!
Fixes
- QRCode, Markdown, Popup, FabMenu, Heatmap, Treemap and Spreadsheet honour the
Visibleparameter. Each rendered its root element unconditionally, soVisible="false"had no effect. The components that create browser-side handlers tear them down on hide and create them again on show, so a FabMenu keeps its keyboard handling, a Heatmap or Treemap keeps resizing, a Popup opened before the hide opens again afterwards and a Spreadsheet stays interactive after a hide and show. - Heatmap and Treemap resize with their container. Their resize callbacks were registered under a name the resize observer never called, so both charts kept the size measured at first render, including a zero height measured before layout.
- SankeyDiagram, SpiderChart and Scheduler keep resizing after a hide and show through
Visible. The resize observer was created on the first render only and went away with the element, so a component shown again stayed at the size it had when hidden. - ChipList keeps focus on the listbox when a chip is clicked and no longer swallows the first Tab. Each option contained a focusable
RadzenChipwith a real close button, so axe reportednested-interactiveon every option and a click moved focus from the listbox to the chip, which stopped the arrow keys until the list was focused again. The chips render as plain option content, the remove affordance is a mouse-only control hidden from assistive technology since Delete and Backspace remove the focused chip, and the listbox takes its accessible name from aRadzenFormFieldor a label associated throughName. - Chip renders its remove affordance as a mouse-only control, so a removable chip is a single button and one tab stop instead of a button containing a button, which axe reported as
nested-interactive. Delete and Backspace remove the focused chip from the keyboard. - SideDialogOptions
ResizeBarTitleandResizeBarAriaLabelresolve their defaults through the registeredLocalizer, so a customRadzen.ILocalizeris honoured when the properties are read after the side dialog is opened (#2800). - Zen theme sidebar background follows the layout background.
