PhoneAuto 1.1 beta 2. Download PhoneAuto-beta-2027-02-03.apk; it installs over beta 1 and keeps your settings. This test build stops working on 2027-02-03.
Fixed
- Maps search in portrait. Tapping Search in Google Maps now opens the search panel (#6). Android Auto only allows it when its screen is wide enough, so portrait now uses a slightly smaller UI.
- Foldables. With Portrait on, the inner screen is now filled in portrait instead of showing a small landscape box.
- The ✕ button no longer covers Android Auto's clock and buttons (#4, #9). It fades out after a few seconds; touch the screen to bring it back.
- Start without Android Auto installed now tells you so, instead of doing nothing.
New
- Larger icons and text switch, for bigger icons and text in both orientations. In portrait, Maps search may not open with it on.
Install notes
- If Play Protect blocks the install, tap More details › Install anyway (#10).
- PhoneAuto runs Android Auto on the same phone, so Android Auto must be installed on it.
