Change recording is no longer switched on for you. If you relied on MCP edits
being redlined automatically, enable Turn change recording on for MCP edits
in Nelson's options — it is off by default now, deliberately.
Changed
- Nelson no longer switches change recording on by itself (#22) — reported and measured by @braklo. Every MCP edit used to force
RecordChangeson, and the flag is document-wide and sticky: the first agent edit put the document into recording mode permanently, so everything typed afterwards was recorded too, including the user's own manual edits, with superseded content kept inside the saved file (xl/revisions/for.xlsx,<w:del>for.docx). A document that arrives without change recording is now left alone. The old behaviour is still available, opt-in and off by default, as Turn change recording on for MCP edits force_track_changesis now a lock, not a switch (#22) — it used to override the person at the keyboard while exempting the agent, which is backwards: the agent was the one party that could turn recording off. It now does the opposite. While recording is on, an MCP call that tries to disable it is refused withtrack_changes_locked; a human turning it off in LibreOffice is always honoured
Added
change_setworks on Calc (#22) — Calc keeps superseded cell values inxl/revisions/, so a spreadsheet needs the off switch as much as a Writer file.change_list,change_accept_allandchange_reject_allstay Writer-only, and now say why: the Calc change track has no UNO API, and the Calc accept/reject commands open a dialog rather than running headlessdoc_saveanddoc_export_pdfreport change recording (#22) — when recording is on, the response carries achange_recordingblock warning that the file keeps superseded content. An agent-driven workflow may never open the file to notice
