New
- Add a
--skipflag toqlty checkandqlty fmt, the counterpart to--filter: run every enabled plugin except the ones listed (for exampleqlty check --skip eslintorqlty check --filter eslint, rubocop --skip rubocop). Apluginentry removes the plugin entirely while aplugin:ruleentry keeps it running and drops matching issues. An unknown name fails withPlugin not found: <name>, and skipping every enabled plugin fails withAll enabled plugins were skipped(#2913)
Fixed
- Run the prettier formatter from the staging root like every other formatter so the staged
.prettierignoreis honored, fixing ignored files still being reformatted. A prepare script links the tool install'snode_modulesinto the staging root so bare plugin names in.prettierrccontinue to resolve (#2916)
Notice: CLI releases served over HTTPS only (2026-09-14)
CLI releases are now served over HTTPS only. Versions before v0.590.0 fetch the latest-release manifest over HTTP, so qlty upgrade and qlty version now fail on them with an error naming an http:// URL. qlty check, qlty fmt, qlty coverage publish, and qlty --version are unaffected. To recover, run qlty upgrade --version 0.644.0, which skips the manifest lookup, or re-run the installer (curl https://qlty.sh | sh on macOS and Linux, powershell -c "iwr https://qlty.sh | iex" on Windows).
