Pterodactyl 2.0 is in open beta. Try it on a test panel first, and keep production panels on 1.x for now.
What's new
- Extensions. Add features without editing core files, so your changes survive updates. Extensions can add pages, menu items, settings, table columns and form fields, and hook into core actions like creating a server. Install them from a URL. A broken extension can't take the panel down.
- Themes. Restyle the panel or replace whole pages. Themes can build on other themes and come with a dark and light switch and their own settings. Admins can preview a theme before switching to it, and safe mode means a bad theme can't lock anyone out.
- Admin area. Admin and user pages are one app with one design.
- Egg catalog. Browse eggs and import them in one click.
- Tags. Group and match eggs and nodes with tags.
- Console. Scrolls smoothly and works on phones.
- Stack. Vite, React 19, TanStack, Tailwind 4 and Laravel 13.
- Security. Sign-in doesn't reveal which usernames exist, reset tokens stay private, file paths are strictly checked, secrets are masked in the UI, and every API route checks its permissions.
- API. Fully typed and documented, with clear validation errors.
