PS5-ECAM-v5.0.1.zip (84.9 MB), on the releases branch.

SHA-256: 733f4d9408a0f6354e6a491614b5fb15bd893780a7191db8bf3d71a82ba4dfdb

From 3.0.0 or later, the app offers this update itself as it starts (Settings > Online checks again). Otherwise extract the ZIP and copy the PPSA99360 folder to /data/homebrew/PPSA99360, replacing the old one. Your settings, saves and games in /data/ps5cemu stay as they are.

What's new

The Switch side works like the others

  • Switch games start (#67). The console doesn't pass Eden the arguments it was started with, so the launcher now hands Eden its game in a file. Under etaHEN, Eden asks for /data the way the app does.
  • PS5-ECAM's own loading screen and in-game menu. A Switch game starts on the app's loading screen (its cover, its name, what it's loading), and touchpad click + Options opens the same in-game menu as on the other sides: upscaling filter, FSR sharpening, anti-aliasing, frame generation, the performance overlay, speed limit, volume, docked or handheld, controller type, vibration, stick deadzone, amiibo, your room and who is in it, and Quit to the library. The game keeps running behind it. ProsperoEden's own launcher no longer opens from the app, and a game that fails comes back to the library with the reason.
  • The library reads each game's own files (#64, #67). With your prod.keys, every NSP and XCI is listed under its own title ID and name. Updates and DLC are left out whatever their names, and a game in both an NSP and an XCI is listed once. Box art and game pages from GameTDB, as on the other sides; Settings > Online > Switch covers picks GameTDB's box art or the games' own icons.
  • Your buttons: Settings > Controls > Buttons puts each of the Switch's buttons on any DualSense button or the touchpad's click.
  • ProsperoEden's settings in the launcher, for every Switch game or one game's own: a Performance page (memory 4, 6 or 8 GB, async shaders, fast GPU, unsafe CPU and DMA, reactive flushing, skipped cache invalidation, code compiled ahead, compact memory), output resolution and 120 Hz in Graphics, and the language games see in System, besides frame generation with MihawkGen and the speed limit.
  • Multiplayer: Settings > Multiplayer lists ProsperoEden's public rooms, or takes a private one, and the game joins it as it starts: choose Local Wireless in the game.

Save states on the 3DS and DS

  • Touchpad click + Square saves a state; touchpad click + Triangle, held, loads it. Undo the last load puts the game back as it was just before.
  • Quit to the library saves a state, and Resume where you left off goes on from it.
  • Fast forward, on and off: a button that turns fast forward on with a press and off with the next.

ReShade on the Wii U

  • Settings > Graphics > ReShade, or the in-game menu: the ReShade preset and effects you made on a PC, over the game's picture, before the GamePad's screen and the menus. Put ReShadePreset.ini (or presets/<title ID>.ini for one game) with its Shaders and Textures folders in /data/ps5cemu/reshade. The boot log says what runs.

Frame generation (#66)

  • Settings > Graphics > Frame generation, on the Wii U and 3DS sides, in a game's settings and in the in-game menus. While a game takes two refreshes a frame or more, MihawkGen, the frame generation Eden uses, makes a picture between each two frames: a game at 30 fps is shown at 60, or at 60 on a 120 Hz TV. It's off by default, costs the GPU about 2 ms a picture at 4K and adds a little delay.

3DS

  • Artic Setup works, thanks to dolphin78 (#45, #70): the system update during Artic Setup no longer fails with "Unable to update", and a New 3DS's setup after an Old 3DS's no longer crashes. Both are dolphin78's fixes from PR #70, tested on his own PS5 with a New 3DS XL.
  • 3D for red and cyan glasses, as Azahar's anaglyph mode draws the 3DS's 3D.
  • The cameras see a picture from /data/ps5cemu/azahar/camera, so a game's QR code reader can scan one.
  • Screen rotation, as on the DS side, and Touch without the bottom screen while only the top screen shows.

Amiibo by series

  • On the Wii U and the Switch, the in-game menu reads amiibo dumps in folders too: put them in /data/ps5cemu/amiibo as they are shared, a folder a series, and pick the series, then the figure.

Other fixes and changes

  • Leaving a game no longer closes the app on kstuff-lite and some other setups (#68).
  • Wii Party U's minigames start (#65). Found and tested on desktop Cemu by xrd365.
  • Russian, Ukrainian and Greek come from the PS5's own SST font, not a Chinese font's wide letters (#69).
  • Downloads no longer hang (box art, updates, graphic packs, the public rooms): each connection now uses the console's own non-blocking sockets.
  • Graphic packs you copy in by hand stay. A graphicPacks/downloadedGraphicPacks without its version.txt was replaced by the bundled packs at every start.
  • Updates can be undone: the version an update replaces is kept, Go back puts it back, and Skip this version stops the asking.
  • Backups to USB carry the settings and the Switch's saves too, and a restore starts the app again to use them.
  • From your phone: the remote touch screen has a files page that sends games, keys and music into the app's folders.
  • The launcher dims after five minutes with no button pressed, for OLED TVs.
  • A crash is said once at the next start, with where its log is, and a ps5cemu.json that can't be read is kept as ps5cemu.json.broken.
  • Wii U update and DLC installs no longer sit at 0% for minutes, and Cancel stops them. DS screen rotation for the games held on their side.
  • The sides are in the order Wii U, Switch, DS, 3DS, and every new text is in all 31 languages.

Thanks

A massive shoutout to dolphin78: Artic Setup works on the PS5 because of him, and so do the 3DS side's crash reports (PR #70), on top of his Artic Base fix and the remote touch screen idea before. He's on the contributors list now, as the author of his fixes.

Thanks also to xrd365 (the Wii Party U fix) and Mihawk-99 (MihawkGen), and cencil182, asp0909, TigerHobbes, ElMeteK, pankosoknap, gaoyimin1980 and Phononenom for the reports and the testing.
