Fixes for extension installs, anonymized copies and key imports.
Fixed
- Installing an extension (e.g. PostGIS) failed with "unknown or unsupported macOS version"
when Homebrew was older than the macOS it runs on. bbdump now updates Homebrew once and tries
again, and says what to do if that is not enough. When an installed extension is still not seen
by the local server (a package built for another PostgreSQL version), the duplicate dialog says
so instead of offering Install again. - Anonymized duplicates and "Update from…": a column pointing to a unique one (a foreign key
on an email, say) could get different fakes than the column it points to, so the link could
break when the copy was rebuilt, and "Update from…" could skip rows whose fakes collided. Linked
and unique columns now always get the same, distinct fakes. - Importing an encryption key applied only after restarting bbdump: it applies at once.
- The install script's uninstaller can remove bbdump's data again (it looked in a folder that
never existed).
Upgrading
On macOS from 1.1.2 or later, bbdump updates itself. From 1.1.0 or 1.1.1, install once with the
script or the DMG below:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/poup-s/bbdump/main/install.sh | bash
