A fix for duplicating databases that use extensions the local server lacks, such as PostGIS.
Fixed
- Duplicating a database that uses an extension missing on the local server (e.g. PostGIS)
said "duplicated" while the tables needing it were left out, with only raw pg_restore lines
(extension "postgis" is not available) at best. The duplicate dialog now checks the
source's extensions first: a missing one is named, with an Install button when bbdump
can install it (Homebrew, apt, dnf), or the command to run, or a note when it only exists
at the host. After copying, the warnings say plainly which extensions were missing and which
tables were not copied.
Upgrading
On macOS from 1.1.2 or later, bbdump updates itself. From 1.1.0 or 1.1.1, install once with the
script or the DMG below:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/poup-s/bbdump/main/install.sh | bash
