Voxel support has been improved, and the initial lighting pass on the main Episode 2 levels has been completed! At this point, the episode is ready for play. I've also improved the setup and launch experience a bit to ensure old Raze installs don't clobber the new path traced renderer settings.
How to run:
- First ensure you have a commercial copy of Duke 3D installed somewhere (Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour ideally)
- Unzip the release package
- Launch via launch-duke-rt.cmd exclusively, do not launch via Raze.exe
- Follow the instructions if it's your first run
- Find your Duke 3D install
- Find and copy over your normal maps (if you are using Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour)
- Download and copy over voxels
- ENJOY
Known issues:
- Start of first level kinda chugs - I need to improve the preload process
- Enemies disappear in the big arena of map E2L8
- There is a memory leak that causes the game to get slower and slower over time
- Battlelord corpses rotate toward the player as you move, which is weird with voxels
