Yes, that Subnautica reference is intentional: “Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?” (I love Subnautica)
Notes
-
GAMA is still in active development. Expect minor bugs or inconsistencies depending on your device and ADB setup.
-
Built and tested on Windows 10 and 11, with standard Android Debug Bridge tools installed.
-
If your device isn't recognized, make sure USB debugging is enabled and ADB drivers are properly installed. Also, make sure you've connected only ONE device to your computer.
Roadmap for v1.4.1 (18.10.2025)
-
Automatic ADB connection check and refresh loop
-
Automatic update checking (just a simple "Hey! There's a new update available, maybe you should check it out" or something - no automatic downloads, of course; we don't do that here).
-
Improved error handling with debug logging
-
Whitelisting apps (apps that shouldn't be stopped, AT ALL)
-
Blacklisting apps (apps that SHOULD be stopped, without having to use the "Aggressive" profile; that thing is seriously overkill and nuclear for ANY use case. I should probably scrap it in v1.4.1, I'll think about it)
-
Laying the groundwork for a full PowerShell overhaul – Yep, GAMA’s getting a complete rewrite. While Batch served us well (shoutout to v1, the scrappy OG), the project has outgrown its humble beginnings. It’s time to level up with a proper interface and a more powerful scripting backend. It will take a while to port GAMA over to PowerShell, but then again, maybe not... I'll look into it, and we'll release GAMA v2!
Anyway, thank you for using GAMA!
