A small release that helps search engines index FileSync correctly.
Improvements
- Room links stay out of search results. Every room link opened the full app, so links shared in public could show up in Google as copies of the homepage that stop working once the room closes. Room links and the connection test page (
/test.html) now tell search engines not to index them. Only the homepage is indexable. - A sitemap for every domain.
/sitemap.xmland/robots.txtare now generated for the domain FileSync is served on, so each self-hosted install lists its own address with no setup. - Larger link previews on X. Shared links show the large preview image.
Under the hood
- FastAPI 0.162.0 (from 0.146.0).
- Development tooling: ESLint 10.14 and globals 17.14.
Upgrading
Nothing to change: the compose files are the same as in 5.0.1. From your filesync folder, run docker compose pull && docker compose up -d (add -f docker-compose-ssl.yml after docker compose for the HTTPS setup).
